Why? Because she has a prosthetic arm and allegedly did not fit with Abercrombie and Fitch's strict "looks policy"

Commenting better late than never I guess. Heard this on Radio 4 and half guessed y ou would pick up on it. Mistake no1 on their behalf was employing a law student I guess. I actually discussed this with Other half and we had to stop talking about it as for a reason I cannot remember now he pissed me off! Has the ruling been made yet? Am relying on you BG to let me know!!

Akash Nawbatt, representing Abercrombie & Fitch, argued that Miss Dean had "exaggerated" the effect her experience with the company had on her and claimed her problems at the store stemmed from long-standing anxiety issues. The hearing continues.

I know I have commented already but the above statement made me madder than I am already.(followed your links) I hope this is seen as a very weak argument - why don't they just admit they were in the wrong, it would be a far nobler and morally sound act, which would make the Abercrombie Fitch 'look better'!!!!
